PREPAID GIFT CARDS


A Prepaid Gift Card is the most convenient way to carry money.  They are more convenient than Travelers Checks and more secure than cash.  You can use your Visa* gift card almost anywhere in the world that Visa* is accepted.  It is an excellent choice to give as a gift for Graduation, Weddings, Birthdays, Christmas or any other special occasion.  They are also especially helpful to students that attend schools away from home or don't have bank accounts.  A Visa* gift card can hold $25.00 to $500.00 and have a 2 year expiration date.  Please visit our Frequently Asked Questions section for more information.

STORED VALUE CARDS

Our Stored Value Card is designed for the commercial company that gives bonuses, incentives or assistance to their employees or members.  It is also a very convenient card for companies that have staff members that travel frequently but don't want to carry large sums of cash.  These cards can be structured to meet the needs of your company.

What is a Visa* Gift Card?
A Visa* Gift Card is a prepaid card that allows you to make purchases anywhere Visa* is accepted.  The cards are loaded with a prepaid amount ranging from $25.00 to $500.00 and as purchases are made the amounts are deducted from the card.

 
Who is eligible to purchase a Visa* Gift Card?
Anybody over the age of 18 with a valid ID card.


How do I purchase a Citizens Bank of Ada Gift Card?
Cards may be purchased at any of Citizens Bank of Ada locations for a fee of $5.00 per card. Cards may be reloaded at any of Citizens Bank of Ada locations for a fee of $3.00.

 

How do I use my Visa* Gift Card?
For purchases made in stores you can use either your PIN or Signature.  To use your PIN, you must swipe the card as a debit transaction and then enter the PIN number.  To sign for your purchases, you must swipe the card as a credit transaction and then sign for your purchase.  For ATM transactions, you will select "checking" for withdrawals (fees may apply).

Can I use my Visa* Gift Card online?
Yes, you can, however some merchants use the address as a means of verification so we recommend that you register your card by logging onto https://www.onlinecardaccess.com/vistibgift** and entering your name, address and phone number.


What if my purchases are more than the balance on my Gift Card?
You may inform the cashier that you want to pay with two different methods (Split Transaction), however you  must know the balance on your card to do this.  Then the cashier will swipe your card for the balance amount and you can pay the difference with cash, credit card, etc.


What do I do if my Gift Card is lost or stolen?
You must cancel your card immediately by calling:
Weekdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (CST) you can call (580) 332-6100 or (580)310-4458
Weekends and after hours call (800) 418-3971
Then call us at (580) 332-6100 so we can replace your card and transfer any remaining funds.


Is there anywhere my Gift Card cannot be used?
Cards cannot be used at car rental establishments, cruise lines, casinos, for recurring-billing or to transact a cash advance at a financial institution.


Can cards be used at a gas station?
Yes they can, however the card must be swiped inside by the cashier.  The card cannot be used at the pump.


What happens when the card is used at a "Tip-Oriented" Merchant?            
When a restaurant or other merchant (spas, hair salons, etc.) that is accustomed to adding a "tip" to the amount of the purchase, they will often add a fixed percentage (the tip) to the amount of the bill.  This percentage is typically 20% of the amount of the bill.


What happens when the card is used at a Hotel/Motel?
When checking into a hotel, the merchant will pre-authorize an amount greater than the actual room rate.  They do this to cover incidental charges.  These include room service charges, movie rental, etc.  If the customer is staying more than one day, the merchant will pre-authorize an even greater amount.


How do I check my balance?
Balances can be checked by calling the Automated Customer Service number (800) 418-3971 or online at http://www.onlinecardaccess.com/vistibgift**.  You can also retrieve 11 months of statements from this website.
